Salmon Bank is looking for a Credit Risk Manager, Credit Administration to safeguard the integrity of our credit portfolio from disbursement through closure. This role sits at the heart of our credit control environment, acting as an independent checkpoint that ensures every loan is booked, monitored, and closed in full compliance with approved terms, regulatory requirements, and internal policy.
What You'll DoPre-Disbursement Control
Provide final clearance before loan disbursement by validating compliance with approved credit terms, documentation requirements, delegated authorities, and regulatory conditions.
Disbursement Authorization
Authorize loan disbursements independently from loan origination, ensuring every release aligns with approved credit approvals and intended use of proceeds.
Loan Booking and Record Integrity
Ensure accurate booking, classification, recording, and reconciliation of credit facilities across the Bank's systems and records.
Credit and Collateral Custodianship (Legacy Loans)
Maintain the integrity, completeness, security, and accessibility of all credit and collateral documentation, including original security instruments and supporting records.
Post-Booking Monitoring and Exception Management
Monitor compliance with approved credit conditions, covenants, collateral requirements, and other post-disbursement obligations, escalating exceptions as needed.
Loan Settlement and Closure
Administer loan settlement and collateral release, and maintain closed loan records in accordance with policy and regulatory standards.
Regulatory Reporting and Examination Support
Support regulatory reporting, portfolio monitoring, and supervisory examinations by maintaining complete and accurate credit data, records, and registers.
Control and Compliance Oversight
Maintain independent oversight of credit administration controls, documentation standards, exception management processes, and regulatory compliance to support portfolio quality, operational integrity, and prudent risk management.
Strong background in credit administration, credit risk, or loan operations within a banking or financial institution
Solid understanding of credit approval processes, loan documentation, and regulatory compliance frameworks
Experience with loan booking systems, collateral management, and portfolio monitoring
High attention to detail and comfort operating as an independent control function, separate from origination
Familiarity with regulatory reporting and examination processes
Strong organizational and escalation-management skills
Skills Required
- Strong background in credit administration, credit risk, or loan operations within a banking or financial institution
- Understanding of credit approval processes, loan documentation, and regulatory compliance frameworks
- Experience with loan booking systems, collateral management, and portfolio monitoring
