- Oversee and manage all Accounts Receivable (AR) activities, including invoicing, credit management, payment applications, and supporting global initiatives.
- Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing AR team.
- Strengthen policies and procedures to ensure robust controls over credit issuance, order releases, collections, and cash application.
- Identify and implement process improvements across AR functions, leveraging technology to drive operational efficiency.
- Manage credit risk and optimize collection strategies to support revenue growth in line with Hempel’s policies.
- Develop and enhance AR reporting and performance metrics to support decision-making and monitor team effectiveness.
- Drive implementation of AR and Collections technology solutions.
- Maintain strong working relationships with Sales and Finance teams.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Sales, Legal, and Customer Care teams.
- Approve credit limits and authorize order releases in accordance with Hempel Finance policies.
- Resolve escalated financial and customer issues in a timely and professional manner.
- 5–7 years of experience in Accounts Receivable and Credit Management.
- Proven experience leading a credit and collections team of at least 8 people.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across functions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated ownership, initiative, and accountability.
- Detail-oriented, accurate, and well-organized.
- Strong customer focus with a drive for continuous process improvement.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Systems experience with SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
