CommBank’s Retail Credit Decisioning (RCD) team is looking for a Credit Analyst to join and contribute to our utility function that supports Retail Banking Services (RBS) to deliver customer service and is focused on meeting the financial needs of retail customers.

COO is the engine room of the CBA Group, driving the processes that deliver products and services to our customers. If you have taken out a home loan, opened a CommSec account, used an ATM, applied for a credit card, or made an international funds transfer, then you have interacted with one of the many aspects of COO.
 

The Role

As a Credit Analyst in RCD, you will be responsible for all retail loan applications referred from the Bank’s credit scoring systems across Home Loans, Personal Loans and Credit Cards. Additionally, all Broker originated home loan and Credit Variation applications are referred to the team. As a team, RCD is responsible for making quality credit risk decisions, within the Bank’s risk appetite statement, following a standard credit process in a timely and efficient manner.
 

The RCD team supports and provides advice to all retail points of sale, Branch, Direct Banking, Third Party Banking and Premium Banking. And the work completed by RCD directly impacts and affects Chief Operating Office who complete fulfilment for approved applications approved. 
 

You will also:

  • Be responsible for the assessment and final decisions for secured and unsecured Consumer Credit referrals. These will be received via the Proprietary and/or Third Party Channel.
  • Ensure accurate and effective credit decisions are made in a consistent, efficient and timely manner and to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Adhere to Sales and Service strategies, Risk policies and procedures
  • Actively commit to the credit training and your development, including active participation in cultivating positive behaviours and supportive language.
  • Collaborate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
     

The role will work closely with all business partners, internal and external as there is a strong reliance on collaboration and teamwork. Effective use of all resources available within Credit Services Nationally will be utilised to achieve optimum team results.

Your Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience working in a retail credit environment either from a credit analyst or lender perspective.
  • Experience of the Bank’s home loan origination process.
  • Strong understanding of Bank’s credit policy and how it is applied.
  • Experience in stakeholder management.
  • Results orientation and commitment to excellence
  • Professional presentation and time management skills
  • Industry related tertiary qualifications are an advantage but not mandatory​.
