Nabis Capital is Nabis’ financial arm, providing cash flow advances to brand customers across California and New York. We’re hiring a Credit Analyst to help scale the day-to-day execution of our factoring operation – from evaluating new factoring requests to monitoring portfolio risk and supporting brand onboarding. This role reports to the Credit Team Lead overseeing Nabis Capital and works closely with the Senior Director of Strategic Finance, as well as the Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounting Operations, and Product & Engineering teams.
This is a fast-paced, detail-oriented role. You’ll be working with live financial data daily, making credit recommendations that carry real financial exposure, and communicating directly with internal stakeholders and external partners. We’re looking for someone who is not just comfortable with spreadsheets and financial metrics, but who can stay accurate and composed as request volume grows.
Core ResponsibilitiesAdministrative- Run the underwriting process for factoring advances and reserves
- Respond to inbound factoring-related requests from internal teams (AR, Accounting, Brand Payments) and external brand partners
- Update internal trackers and maintain clean data
- Run monthly reconciliations; identify and route discrepancies to appropriate teams for correction and work to eliminate such discrepancies in the future
- Prepare quarterly marketing campaigns and work closely with the Marketing team for distribution
- Analyze and score new factoring requests against credit metrics in order to put forth clear approval or rejection recommendations
- Work closely with AR to maintain a healthy factoring portfolio and determine next steps or restrictions on delinquent retailers
- Run credit limit checks across the brand portfolio
- Perform various analyses on retailer or brand exposure and escalate risk indicators to Nabis Capital leadership with proposed solutions
- Prepare and work through proposals to improve workflows and process efficiency using AI to enhance and streamline manual tasks
- Support new brand onboarding: brand setup, deal tracking, legal documents preparation, review, and coordination with signatory parties
- Perform brand due diligence, including financial statement collection and review
- Work closely with internal Brand Account Managers to increase brand awareness and onboarded partners’ utilization of financing products
- Work closely with the Business Operations and Data teams to develop new dashboards and tools that help track key metrics and generate hypotheses for improved business performance
- Comfort with AI-assisted workflows (e.g., Claude) as an accelerant, paired with independently verifying output
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills – comfortable building and auditing complex formulas (lookups, weighted scoring models, conditional logic) that feed directly into financial decisions
- Financial and credit analysis fundamentals – AR aging, DSO, credit scoring/risk classification, exposure and concentration risk, and general invoice-finance mechanics
- Strong data hygiene – Attention to detail, verifying source data accuracy before relying on it, and flagging inconsistencies across systems
- Comfort working with reconciliation across systems (QuickBooks, BI tools, etc.) – spotting duplicate entries, misclassified transactions, and timing discrepancies between systems that don’t always sync perfectly
- Clear, concise communication – writes and speaks in a way that is concise and hospitable
- Proactive ownership – raises workload or data issues early; grows into representing the team on stakeholder calls
Nice to have: prior experience in AR, collections, underwriting, or invoice finance; familiarity with tools like Retool, Drivetrain, Asana, Slack, or HubSpot.
Experience & EducationYears of experience: 1–3 years in AR/collections, credit/underwriting analysis, financial analysis, or fintech operations. Demonstrated analytical accuracy will be prioritized over tenure.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or another quantitative field.
