Why This Role Matters

The Washington Post is seeking a Creator Partnerships Strategist & Producer to support creator-led branded content programs within WP Studios. This role combines creator partnership strategy with hands-on production, helping identify the right talent for client opportunities and guiding creators from initial outreach through content development, approval and distribution.

The Creator Partnerships Strategist & Producer will support both pre-sale strategy and post-sale execution, partnering with creators and internal teams to develop branded programs that align client objectives with the right platforms, formats, audiences and talent. This role works closely with Creative Strategy, Video Production, Program Management and Business Affairs, and will serve as a primary partner to creators throughout the campaign lifecycle, helping ensure content is strategically sound, on brand and delivered on time.

What Motivates You

  • You enjoy building creator partnerships that balance client objectives, audience needs, platform dynamics and strong creative ideas.
  • You are energized by working directly with creators and helping turn an initial concept into compelling, high-quality branded content.
  • You enjoy combining strategic thinking with hands-on production and seeing programs through from pitch to execution.
  • You are curious about social platforms, audience behavior, creator trends and emerging formats and use those insights to strengthen your recommendations.
  • You thrive in collaborative environments where creative, production, business and client considerations must come together to deliver successful work.
  • You value strong relationships and enjoy serving as a trusted partner to creators throughout the lifecycle of a campaign.

How You'll Support the Mission

  • Develop creator partnership strategies that align client objectives and KPIs with the right platforms, formats, audiences and talent.
  • Source and vet creators based on their professional experience, industry expertise, audience, platform presence, content quality and campaign fit.
  • Negotiate creator fees, manage campaign budgets and maintain strong creator relationships throughout each partnership.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for creators from initial outreach through content development and posting, providing clear communication and coordination throughout the campaign lifecycle.
  • Guide creators through project briefing, scripting and revisions to ensure content remains on brand, responds to client feedback and is delivered on time.
  • Partner with Creative Strategists to develop creator recommendations and proposal materials for RFP responses and proactive pitches, supported by audience insights, platform best practices and industry trends.
  • Create sales materials and case studies that demonstrate WP Studios' creator and social capabilities.
  • Coordinate client review and approval and support the organic and paid distribution of creator content across social platforms.
  • Partner with Video Production, Program Management and Business Affairs to bring creator-led branded programs to market.
  • Use creator discovery and trend tools to identify talent, track industry developments and inform campaign decisions.
  • Maintain an up-to-date database of vetted creators, including professional experience, industry expertise and highest-performing platforms.
