We are looking for a mid-level Creative Technologist to join our growing creative technology capability at 1000heads. This role sits at the intersection of creativity, technology, automation, and AI.
You are someone who lives and breathes emerging technology - particularly AI tools, agents, workflow automation, and rapid prototyping- and enjoys turning ideas into working systems quickly. You will support the design and delivery of tech-enabled, AI-driven solutions, primarily focused on internal platforms, tools, and workflows, as well as on selected client-facing innovations.
You will work closely with the Group Technology Innovation Director to prototype, test, and evolve solutions that push how the business operates and scales.
RESPONSIBILITIES
GENERAL
- Support the delivery of innovative, reliable, and scalable tech solutions across internal initiatives and selected client work.
- Collaborate across disciplines, including creative, strategy, production, and client services.
- Balance creative exploration with commercial awareness, time management, and delivery expectations.
- Contribute to new business pitches through prototypes, demos, proofs of concept, and technical thinking.
- Maintain a strong curiosity for AI, automation, creative technology, and emerging platforms.
DESIGN, PROTO-TYPING & FRONT-END
- Develop interactive prototypes using React, Next.js, JavaScript, and modern front-end tooling.
- Collaborate with designers using Figma to translate concepts into functional experiences.
- Apply strong UX and UI thinking, understanding how users interact with systems and workflows.
- Support light graphic design, interaction design, and creative experimentation where needed.
RESEARCH & INNOVATION
- Stay up to date with developments in AI, agents, automation tools, creative coding, and digital platforms.
- Research and test new tools, frameworks, and approaches relevant to marketing, content, and operations.
- Share learnings with the wider team through demos, documentation, and informal knowledge sharing.
CREATIVE THINKING & PROBLEM SOLVING
- Translate abstract creative ideas into tangible technical solutions.
- Collaborate closely with teams to enhance ideas through technology, not overcomplicate them.
- Think laterally about how AI and automation can unlock new creative and operational possibilities.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in a Creative Technologist, developer, or adjacent role
- Strong experience with:
- n8n or similar automation platforms
- JavaScript, React, Next.js
- API integration and usage
- Figma and collaborative design workflows
- Solid understanding of: ○ UX principles and user-
- UX principles and user-centred design
- Rapid prototyping and experimentation
- AI tools, LLMs, and emerging AI workflows
Nice to Haves:
- Experience with AI agents, prompt engineering, or orchestration tools
- Familiarity with cloud platforms or serverless environments
- Creative coding, data visualisation, or experimental interfaces
- Understanding of marketing technology or content workflows
