Hi, we're Ondo Finance. Our mission is to provide institutional-grade, blockchain-enabled investment products and services. We have both a technology arm that develops decentralized finance technology, and an asset management arm that creates and manages tokenized funds. We were the first company to tokenize exposure to US Treasuries, and have since expanded into several other assets. We are also focused on incubating protocols that can support both tokenized real-world assets and traditional crypto.
Founded by folks from Goldman Sachs Digital Assets Team, we’re backed by some of the best investors in the world including Founders Fund, Coinbase Ventures, Pantera Capital, Tiger Global, and more. We are currently the leaders in the space in terms of AUM and are well capitalized to continue to grow the firm. We're fully remote, with team members across the U.S.
About the Role
Ondo is looking for an experienced Creative Director. You will hands-on execute and drive the creative direction for Ondo’s brand and assets, including the development of Ondo’s brand architecture, design system, brand strategy, and execution, including visual elements and content. The Creative Director will play a key role in bringing the strategic vision of Ondo Finance to life and communicating its value proposition to the world. You are able to direct design strategy as well as roll up your sleeves to independently execute designs through channels like social media, graphic design, and more. This is a unique opportunity to shape the design function at Ondo Finance and lead the team of designers that bring Ondo’s vision to life.
Responsibilities
•Execute and Lead: You will both create and provide art direction to build awareness and grow our presence across audience touch points, products, and local markets
•Drive a design system that aligns with our brand and ensure consistency across Ondo’s products and marketing channels
•Develop the creative strategy, visual language, voice, and personality of creative, with a focus on awareness and integrated campaign work
•Build relationships with cross functional team members and executives to effectively manage process, deliverables and design needs
•Deliver outstanding art direction, web designs, photography and video direction, design, typography and campaign systems and support creation of assets for sales enablement, presentations, and digital storytelling needs
•Create organization and project management processes that scale; processes should work well cross-functionally to other teams to meet their creative needs
•Identify gaps in our capabilities - when we need to build and when we need to source specialists and agencies, if needed
•Ensure the quality of creative output is world-class
Requirements
•At least 7+ years of professional experience leading design teams at an agency or an in-house design team
•A compelling digital portfolio, preferably gaining from traditional finance and blockchain companies
•Expertise: Experience designing in blockchain, web3, DeFi, financial services categories
•Willingness to be hands-on. This individual will be required to create and execute, as well as lead.
•Extensive technical knowledge of branding systems is a plus
•Understands high-quality output and is deeply obsessed with all work being in-line with brand systems and visual identities
•Resourceful to get things done quickly and efficiently
•Extensive experience onboarding the right agency partners for the right objectives
•Ability to lead by influence; inspired teams to deliver their best work
•Partial (5hr) daily overlap with EST — typically this means you're located in the Americas unless you're willing to work unusual hours
