Summary Description:

We are seeking a highly creative and skilled Creative Designer/Web Designer/Graphic Designer to join our marketing communications team. The Creative Designer will be responsible for conceptualizing and designing visually compelling graphics, web layouts, and marketing materials that align with our organization's branding and marketing strategies. This position requires a strong understanding of design principles, user experience, and the ability to create engaging visuals that resonate with diverse audiences. The ideal candidate should have experience in the development of healthcare materials, with a proven track record of designing for federal agencies.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, Multimedia, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in graphic design, web design, or related roles.
  • Experience working with federal agencies or in the healthcare field preferred

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Collaborate with the marketing communications team to create visually appealing and effective marketing materials, including brochures, posters, infographics, web layouts, and social media graphics.
  • Use creativity and design expertise to develop innovative and compelling visual concepts that align with marketing strategies and objectives.
  • Ensure all designs adhere to brand guidelines and maintain a consistent visual identity across all materials and platforms.
  • Optimize graphics and web layouts for various digital and print channels to enhance user experience and engagement.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in design, web development, and user experience to inform and improve design decisions.

Examples of Relevant Employment History and Accomplishments:

  • Portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design projects, including graphics, web layouts, and marketing materials.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, Multimedia, or a related field

Skills:

  • Proficiency in graphic design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), Sketch, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of web design principles, user experience (UX), and responsive design.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to translate marketing objectives into visually compelling designs.
  • Skills in using Drupal

Examples of Relevant Marketing Communication Services Initiatives, Programs, Projects, and Campaigns:

  • Designing web pages and landing pages for digital marketing communication campaigns.
  • Creating engaging social media graphics and visuals for public health awareness initiatives.

Examples of Relevant Expertise in Designing for Diverse Audiences:

  • Experience designing materials for an array of diverse segments of audiences, including individuals from different cultural backgrounds, age groups, and languages
  • Ability to use design elements to communicate complex information in a visually engaging and accessible way.
