Primary Responsibilities
- Professionally and promptly interact with customers. Confirm appointment with customer the day before and arrive on-time, in uniform, neatly groomed.
- Physically walk and thoroughly inspect customer premises with a focus on preventive and proactive maintenance, noting repairs not requested to advise customer on future needs. Determine repair options, accurately prepare supply and labor estimates, and present to the customer in an easy-to-understand format.
- Perform requested routine maintenance to the company’s and customer’s standards. Follow all safety practices, policies, and procedures and promote safe working conditions for both the customer and you.
- Enter complete service details in company software so office can prepare accurate and timely customer billing.
- 3 years’ work experience in a maintenance or construction position, preferably involving customer interaction where you regularly performed the trades mentioned above with minimal or no supervision.
- Up-to-date knowledge of OSHA and safety standards. Comfortable using office technology.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality, reliable and presentable work vehicle required. Flexibility to work outside normal work schedule if needed.
- Highly organized, focused on accuracy and attention to detail. Strong time management skills with consistency in meeting project completion deadlines.
- Physical requirements and work conditions: Work may be performed indoors or outdoors. Able to lift/carry 75lbs, climb, reach overhead, squat, bend, kneel, crawl in tight spaces, stand and walk or move about throughout the shift.
- Hold a valid driver's license and successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background, drug test, and motor vehicle records check. Agree not to work for another handyman service or operate your own handyman (or like) service while working for Elder’s Ace Handyman.
