As a CPM Senior Advanced Application Engineer here at Honeywell, you will leverage your advanced technical expertise to develop and implement complex application solutions that meet customer needs and drive business growth. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to solve challenging engineering problems and provide innovative solutions that enhance product performance and customer satisfaction.
You will report directly to our Tech Support Manager, and you’ll work out of our Houston, TX /Atlanta GA locations on a Hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will impact on the success of our customer projects by delivering high-quality application engineering solutions that align with Honeywell’s strategic goals. Your contributions will be critical in advancing our technology offers and supporting the growth of our business in the competitive market.
ResponsibilitiesKEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement advanced application engineering solutions aligned with customer requirements and business objectives.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including sales, product development, and support, to ensure successful project execution.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior engineers and key stakeholders on complex engineering challenges.
- Support product commercialization efforts by contributing technical expertise, customer insights, and market feedback.
- Delivering applications and product support to external customers, ensuring timely and effective issue resolution.
- Manage customer issues through clear communication, responsive follow‑up, and internal advocacy within Honeywell.
- Collaborate closely with local and global team members to resolve customer problems and share knowledge and best practices.
- Contribute to knowledge‑sharing initiatives, including online knowledge base content, customer newsletters, and release reviews/testing.
- Deliver customer training and provide technical support to the sales organization.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance application performance, customer satisfaction, and overall team effectiveness.
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
- Minimum of 8-10 years relevant experience – use of Process Control Monitoring tools. Ideally some industrial experience – knowledge of refinery processes, process automation, PID control desirable
- Strong expertise in advanced application development, problem-solving, and technical solution delivery.
- Proficiency with relevant engineering software tools and technologies specific to the industry.
- Experience in project management, resource allocation, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Deep knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices applicable to application engineering.
