Green Tree Pharmacy is a long term care pharmacy located in Minonk, IL, which currently serves almost 100 long term care facilities. As we continue to expand our services, we are in need of a Pharmacy Technician. This position is responsible for filling prescription orders from nursing facilities under the supervision of a staff pharmacist.
This is a full-time opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Create and update patient profiles
- Enter new prescriptions into the pharmacy management system with accuracy and efficiency under supervision of a pharmacist
- Process requests for refilled prescriptions
- Contact prescriber/nursing facility for clarification or refill authorization as directed by the pharmacist
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Illinois Licensed and Certified as a Pharmacy Technician preferred but not required
- Pharmacy background in data-entry and proficient typing skills are preferred, but will train for the right candidate
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be dependable and have reliable attendance
- Must work well in team environment
