Help scale a life-saving medical technology across Kenya!

As GOAL 3 continues to expand across East Africa, Kenya is a strategic priority country for our organization. We are seeking an entrepreneurial and commercially minded Country Manager to establish and grow GOAL 3's presence in Kenya. Is that you?

About GOAL 3

GOAL 3 is a global health social enterprise committed to improving healthcare in low-resource settings. Through our IMPALA patient monitoring platform, we help health workers detect patient deterioration earlier, reduce workload, and improve clinical outcomes. Results show that hospitals with IMPALA reduce pediatric mortality by 40-51% and neonatal mortality by 27-35%, while simultaneously reducing time spent monitoring by 45%. We are currently active in 50+ hospitals and 6 countries across the East African Region.

Job Description

Working closely with GOAL 3's international leadership team, you will lead our commercial growth, build strategic partnerships, oversee successful implementation of the IMPALA platform, and help position GOAL 3 as a trusted partner to hospitals, governments, and healthcare organizations across Kenya. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is equally comfortable developing strategy, building relationships, and working with the team to turn opportunities into successful implementation and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

As Country Manager, you will:

  • Lead GOAL 3's commercial growth and country operations in Kenya, translating organizational strategy into clear country priorities and execution.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, county governments, the Ministry of Health, distributors, implementing partners, and other key health sector stakeholders.
  • Identify and advance new commercial, partnership, and funding opportunities, including pathways for sustainable hospital and government adoption of IMPALA.
  • Oversee customer relationships and support the long-term adoption of IMPALA, working with hospital leadership and clinical teams to ensure the platform is effectively integrated into routine service delivery.
  • Oversee high-quality implementation across Kenya, coordinating with clinical, technical, service, distributor, and hospital teams to ensure successful installations, training, ongoing support, and timely resolution of challenges.
  • Navigate Kenya's healthcare procurement, regulatory, financing, and institutional decision-making environment to help move opportunities from initial interest to implementation and scale.
  • Establish and strengthen GOAL 3's local operations, systems, and processes as our presence in Kenya grows.
  • Build and lead a strong multidisciplinary Kenya team, while ensuring close coordination with GOAL 3's international clinical, technical, service, commercial, and operational teams.
  • Monitor country performance, implementation progress, customer needs, and emerging opportunities, using these insights to continuously refine GOAL 3's Kenya strategy.
  • Represent GOAL 3 in strategic meetings, technical working groups, conferences, and other relevant forums across Kenya.
What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who enjoys building organizations, developing partnerships, and turning opportunities into sustainable impact.

You should have:

  • Experience managing partnerships, customers, programs, or commercial activities.
  • Strong commercial, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams, projects, or operations.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-growing organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Swahili is highly desirable).
  • Legal authorization to work in Kenya and willingness to travel regularly throughout the country.
It would be an advantage if you have experience with:
  • Medical devices, digital health platforms, or healthcare technologies.
