Role OverviewJapan is one of the world's most important semiconductor markets, and a strategic priority for ChipAgents. We are looking for a Country Manager to lead our business there: an entrepreneurial sales leader who wins enterprise customers directly and builds a strong partner ecosystem around them. You will be the face of ChipAgents in Japan, with real ownership over how we grow in the market.
Key ResponsibilitiesOwn ChipAgents' revenue and growth in Japan across direct and partner channels.
Lead complex enterprise sales cycles with semiconductor and electronics companies, from first conversation through evaluation, contract, and expansion.
Build trusted relationships from engineering teams to executive leadership.
Recruit, enable, and manage channel partners, and hold them to shared goals.
Shape the coverage model across direct, partner-led, and co-sold accounts.
Guide local application engineers (dotted line) to deliver excellent evaluations and deployments.
Represent ChipAgents at industry events and across the Japanese semiconductor community.
Bring customer insight back to our product and engineering teams.
10+ years of enterprise sales in Japan, including substantial experience selling EDA, semiconductor IP, or technical software to semiconductor companies.
A proven record of closing large, complex deals and growing accounts over time.
Experience building and managing channel partners in Japan.
A strong network across the Japanese semiconductor and electronics industry.
The technical fluency to engage chip design and verification engineers credibly.
Native-level Japanese and business-fluent English.
An entrepreneurial, hands-on approach and comfort building in a fast-moving startup.
Experience launching or scaling a US technology company in Japan.
Experience partnering with cloud providers or selling through cloud marketplaces.
A background in AI/ML products, or a degree in electrical or computer engineering.
Experience leading technical pre-sales or application engineering teams.
