As Counterparty Risk Americas - Managing Director, within Risk Management and Compliance Risk Management and Compliance, you are at the center of keeping JPMorgan Chase strong and resilient. Counterparty Risk consists of the Counterparty Credit Risk and the Central Counterparty (CCP) groups within Wholesale Credit Risk, which cover OTC Derivatives (cleared and non-cleared), Futures and Options, Securities financing and Securities Prime Services and CCPs. Overall group responsibilities include, but are not limited to Counterparty Risk Measurement, Monitoring (and escalating as appropriate) of those risks/exposures, Ad hoc risk investigations and analyses for credit officers, sales and senior management, Assessment of CSA terms adequacy, Assessment of initial margin requirements including corresponding eligible collateral and valuations where applicable, Ownership and maintenance of all credit exposure metrics (continuous adequacy assessment), All related exposure calculation/reporting engines and their development agendas and priorities, and Credit Capital & CCAR/ICAAP related exposure & collateral stress testing.
Job Responsibilities
- Supporting the global head of Counterparty Risk in the following areas:
- Overseeing Counterparty Credit Risk client coverage in the Americas across Prime Brokerage, Cleared and Bilateral derivatives and securities financing positions
- Managing and steering the strategy for the various Counterparty Risk coverage development projects and project working groups
- Acting as an SME on Counterparty Risk topics to regulators, senior management, partners in Risk, Front Office and other stakeholders.
- Acting as main point of contact between Counterparty Risk and Central Counterparty Risk and other key areas of the firm eg. Market Risk, Credit Risk, Liquidity Risk, Capital, Treasury and Risk and Business partners in AWM, CIB and CCB
- Driving the People and Diversity agenda for Counterparty Risk
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- 15+ years of relevant management experience in Risk incl. market, credit, liquidity risk
- Strong and broad proven working experience in risk management across different groups and LOBs and across multiple asset classes.
- Proven ability to work cross-lob and interact with senior management and /or regulators
- Proven work experience in Derivatives, Structured Finance, Securities and Financing activities across asset classes
- Proven experience interacting with regulators
- Proven experience in managing stress testing (CCRA, ICAAP etc)
- Strong organizational, control, project management, communication and negotiation skills and comfort with dynamically shifting priorities, timelines, and demands
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be articulate and be able to explain technical concepts to non-specialists. Able to adjust communication style for a variety of situations and be able to hold their ground as required
- Strong sense of accountability and ownership of responsibilities. Must be diligent and self-motivated. Highly confident and commercial with the conviction to challenge and make decisions.

Skills Required
- 15+ years of relevant management experience in risk including market, credit, liquidity risk
- Deep experience in counterparty credit risk, CCPs, OTC derivatives (cleared and non-cleared), futures, options, securities financing and prime brokerage
