Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Interchange Analysis & Management:
Monitor, analyze, and interpret interchange rates, rules, and regulations from various payment networks and partners relevant to our operations in any international markets CKO serves.
Perform regular reconciliation of interchange fees and related costs, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
Develop and maintain models to forecast interchange costs and assess the financial impact of changes in interchange structures.
Support the implementation of new interchange programs and ensure system configurations accurately reflect current fee structures.
Cost of Sales Reporting & Analysis:
Contribute to the month-end closing process for cost of sales, ensuring all interchange and related costs are accurately accrued and reported.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Support:
Liaise with internal teams (e.g., Finance, IT, Product, Sales, Operations) to provide expertise on interchange and cost of sales matters.
Support client-facing teams by providing insights and resolving queries related to interchange fees and their impact.
Collaborate with external partners, including payment networks, on interchange-related issues and initiatives.
Process Improvement & Compliance:
Identify and recommend improvements to processes, systems, and controls within the Cost of Sales & Interchange function to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of interchange rates, processes, and analyses.
Mentorship & Development:
Provide guidance and support to junior team members as required.
Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging trends in payments, interchange, and cost management.
Qualifications
4+ years of experience in the payment industry in the Card Schemes pricing domain and/or in high-volume transaction environment
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with motivation to find end-to-end solutions
Ability to work cross-functionally and with remote teams
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with complex datasets
Ability to meet tight deadlines in an evolving environment and sometimes shifting priorities
Willingness to take the initiative and continuously learn
Strong sense of ownership and accountability
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, SQL
Experience BI tools, JIRA, Retool is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, IT or Analytics
Fluency in English, and superb communication skills at all levels
Knowledge of Interchange and Scheme Fees, Card Schemes and Payments Processing will be an advantage
