QUALIFICATIONS NECESSARY TO DO THE JOB:
- Immediate open position
- $80,000 - $90,000 annual compensation
- Accounting or Finance post-secondary education required
- Minimum 2+ years of manufacturing accounting experience in a fast paced automotive environment an asset
- Extensive background in cost accounting and meeting deadlines
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Macro’s, VLOOKUP)
- Analytical skills backed by high proficiency dealing with data
- Ability to tackle loosely defined problems by asking the right questions
- Strong organizational skills, comfortable with multi-tasking and project management abilities
- Experience conducting deep dive analysis with large volumes of data
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Previous experience working with PowerBI, SQL, Hyperion, Power Ledger, GSD system and TraX is an asset
- Annual Audits (SOX, Magna Year End, Government)
- Ability to respect and maintain the confidential nature of the department
MAIN DUTIES:
- Ensure BOM’s and routings are complete for products
- Audit BOM’s to actual floor performance
- Produce variance analysis of products on an ad hoc basis
- Collaborate with team in the preparation of complex financial reports
- Integral part of month/quarter/year end close activities and financial statements with detailed analysis
- Provide support to department leaders through financial and operational analysis and throughout the
- Year and applicable budget and forecasting cycles
- Liaises with other department personnel
- Assist with internal and external financial audits
- Create journal entries, reconcile sub-ledgers for assigned accounts
- Integral part of month end close activities and financial statements with detailed analysis
- Other duties as required
