Correctional LMHP - On-Site

As a clinician-owned and operated organization, we are committed to high-quality care and strong provider support. We are seeking Licensed Mental Health Providers (LCMHC, LPC, LMHC) who are interested in partnering with a growing organization that values collaboration and a strong team-oriented culture, working within a correctional setting.
Schedule: Part-Time or Full-Time, dayshift
Compensation: negotiable
Position Summary:
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, including intake screenings, risk evaluations, and diagnostic evaluations for incarcerated individuals.
- Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team.
- Provide individual and group therapy services, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
- Monitor patient progress and response to treatment, adjusting interventions as clinically appropriate.
- Perform crisis intervention, including suicide risk assessments, safety planning, and emergency response.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with facility, state, and federal guidelines.
- Collaborate with medical staff, correctional officers, and other stakeholders to ensure coordinated and safe patient care.
- Participate in treatment team meetings, case reviews, and discharge/reentry planning.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, policies, and procedures, including those specific to correctional healthcare.
- Provide psychoeducation to patients regarding mental health conditions, coping strategies, and medication adherence (as applicable).
- Support continuity of care by coordinating with community providers upon release.
- Maintain professional boundaries and adhere to safety protocols within the correctional environment.
Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted license as a Licensed Mental Health Provider (LCMHC, LPC, LMHP) in the NC.
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
- Minimum of [1–2] years of clinical experience (correctional, forensic, or inpatient experience preferred).
- Experience conducting assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning.
- Knowledge of crisis intervention and risk assessment, including suicide prevention.
- Strong documentation skills and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR).
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team in a secure environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to pass required background checks and meet all facility credentialing requirements.
