THE ROLE

As a Corporate Sales Manager focused on Business Transient, you will play a vital role in driving revenue and promoting the success of our New York Flagship. The primary goal will be to generate new business, client relationship management, drive production of existing and new corporate accounts. The Sales Manager will be responsible for achieving optimal occupancy and ADR growth to maximize total revenue. This role will report into the Head of Sales.

This role is required to be based in New York City.  

AT MINT HOUSE YOU WILL
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities for purposes of maintaining and further developing the Mint House’s sales pipeline
  • Create a sales pipeline for Mint House at 70 Pine, through proactive outreach to prospective clients utilizing a combination of networking at industry events/conferences, client meetings, email campaigns and online marketing
  • Communicate value proposition of our flagship property as the preferred accommodation for business transient stays that align with corporate client needs and requirements
  • Develop lasting, positive and productive relationships with Mint House’s clients - securing referrals and testimonials that lead to new business opportunities
  • Continue to build a distinctive brand and strengthen relationships
  • Negotiate contract terms and create long term relationships for recurring bookings and loyalty
  • Partner with Revenue Management to ensure our business transient segment focus is competitive
  • Participate in weekly meetings with the broader sales team to discuss brand positioning, forecasting, and all aspects of the sales process to build out Mint House’s footprint
  • Responsible for meeting and exceeding revenue goals and continuing to upsell and build a book of business in conjunction with the national sales team
  • Use LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and other tools to identify prospects
  • Represent Mint House at industry events, conduct in person and virtual tours; travel may be required as business needs dictate
WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • At least 5-7 years of consultative sales experience; boutique hotel preferred
  • Preferred: Track record of success in driving great revenue outcomes in NYC market at boutique hotels and/or non-traditional accommodations
  • Notable experience to leverage network to identify account prospects that are an optimal fit for Mint House in order to increase revenue and further increase brand awareness and Mint House as the preferred accommodation
  • Proven track record of closing opportunities with mid-size and large top tier organizations
  • Knowledge of developing and executing sales and marketing objectives and strategies required
  • Preferred experience with STR, Agency360, LinkedIn Sales Navigator and open to learning new systems and sales enablement tools
  • Experience in Microsoft Powerpoint, Excel & PDF, G-Suite in order to help create presentations & marketing materials as needed

Compensation: $70,000 - $90,000 USD with a quarterly incentive plan

Mint Houses' compensation philosophy is driven by our company value of fostering inclusivity.
