Verrill is actively reviewing resumes for a Corporate Paralegal in our Portland, Maine office. This role is a full-time, non-exempt position supporting attorneys in our Business Law Group. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: drafting, reviewing, and analyzing legal documents; preparing and filing annual reports, audit letters and annual compliance filings; managing and maintaining corporate records; collaborating with attorneys on fast paced merger and acquisition closings and other corporate matters; interfacing professionally with clients and other legal professionals; and maintaining strict confidentiality of sensitive information.

The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter with strong communication skills and at least three (3) years of relevant experience preferred. A bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate is a plus. The successful candidate will be capable of producing high quality work in a timely and professional manner, while providing exceptional client service and team support, in a fast-paced environment. 

The successful candidate will have exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, financial acumen, and advanced computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel). Applicants should have proven project management skills, the ability to prioritize tasks successfully, and enjoy working as part of a team in a collaborative environment. 

The anticipated hourly rate for this position is $41.02 - $43.59. This is Verrill’s good faith estimate of the hourly rate for the position at the time of this posting for the indicated location. Final compensation will be determined by several factors including, but not limited to skills, experience, job-related qualifications and other market factors. This range represents only one component of a comprehensive compensation and benefits package at Verrill.
