We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team in Brampton, ON.

Job Responsibilities
Collaborate with project engineers on equipment design, layout design and piping design
Develop conceptual and detailed designs, including material handling equipment, plant layouts and piping layout, while incorporating engineering changes into existing designs
Generate and update detailed engineering documents by using Autodesk Inventor and other 2D and 3D tools for part drawings, assembly drawings, layout drawings, bill of material and equipment manuals
Manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure adherence to project schedules
Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in mechanical equipment design and drawing preparation.
University/College degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Proficient in 2D drafting and 3D modeling using AutoCAD and Inventor
Working knowledge of AutoCAD Plant 3D – Navisworks and Autodesk Vault is an asset
Experience in material handling or heavy machinery design is an asset.
Knowledge of piping design standards, P&ID and experience in piping layout design is an asset.
Ability to function and complete tasks independently
Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with excellent drafting technique and practice, including GD&T
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
