What you will do
ISS is looking for a talented and self-motivated research analyst to join our Nordics team in Stockholm, starting in July/August 2026. As a research analyst, you will be guided by our experienced analysts who will provide you with the training and practical skills needed to get off to a flying start.
As a Corporate Governance Research Analyst, you will become an integral part of the team with the crucial role of helping deliver analysis, data, research, and vote recommendations to our institutional shareholder clients, such as hedge/mutual funds, pension funds and other large asset managers. The work will take place both during the “proxy voting season”, a high tempo period when the annual general meetings of most publicly traded companies in the Nordics take place. During this period, our role is to support our clients in making well-informed voting decisions on the topics covered by the AGM, for example equity issuances, M&As, board elections, and executive compensation.
Outside the proxy season, you will do other analytical work and research, expanding expertise and supporting with optimizations and preparations for the next proxy season, alongside the continuous production of research reports for both annual and extraordinary general meetings.
As part of the ISS team, you will, along with others, analyze governance structures and performance of publicly listed companies and provide investors with the appropriate vote recommendations. In addition, you will gather publicly available data from publicly listed companies.
By leveraging analyst expertise on corporate governance, colored by constantly developing market trends, standards, client expectations and practices you and the team will prepare reports detailing the analyses and explaining why a particular vote recommendation was given.
What you will bring to ISS
· Fluent in English (both spoken and written).
· A minimum one of the following languages to a native standard: Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish or Icelandic.
· A relevant bachelor's or master's degree in economics, Business, Finance, Law, or Political Sciences or in the process of obtaining such a degree.
· A prior experience in a relevant area will be considered as an advantage.
· A strong analytical ability, numeracy, strong oral and written communication skills.
· A strong reader with the ability to assimilate large quantities of information, work independently and take initiative while also being a team player.
· An organized and structured mind who can reason logically under given parameters.
· An interest in ESG, capital markets and business.
