Job Description

What will you be doing?

We’re looking for an exceptional Corporate Finance professional to help drive the continued growth of our Financial Services Corporate Finance practice. Joining as a Director, you’ll play a pivotal leadership role - shaping client relationships, developing new opportunities, and delivering high‑quality advisory work across the mid‑market financial services sector.

As Director, your responsibilities will include among others

Client Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead and manage key client relationships, ensuring excellent service at every stage of the engagement.
  • Provide proactive, high‑quality advisory services aligned with our Conduct Risk framework and our Exceptional Advisor standards.
  • Oversee execution of mandates, ensuring work is performed by team members with the right technical ability and seniority.
  • Act as a trusted adviser, bringing deep FS Corporate Finance insights - particularly in mid‑market M&A, fundraising, capital advisory, and strategic transactions.

Driving Growth

  • Play a central role in expanding our Financial Services Corporate Finance offering across the mid‑market.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with existing and prospective clients, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Promote the firm’s reputation in the market and contribute to commercial strategy and decision‑making.

Leadership, People & Development

  • Lead, develop and inspire your team in line with our Exceptional Leader expectations.
  • Maintain the highest standards of technical, professional, and commercial competence and actively support the development of these skills in others.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Extensive corporate finance experience within the Financial Services sector, with a strong track record in mid‑market transactions.
  • Proven complex client management abilities and confidence operating at senior stakeholder level.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership.
  • Experience leading, managing and developing teams.
  • Strong communication skills, commercial acumen, and a natural ability to drive business development.

Professional Qualifications and Education

  • ICAEW (From Corporate Finance Faculty), ACA or equivalent
