The Corporate Development office, through both Mergers & Acquisitions and Business Development teams, plays a key role in shaping Group’s long-term Strategy (Strategic Planning), identifying growth opportunities, supporting the execution of transactions (including acquisitions, licensing agreements, divestitures, equity investments and strategic partnerships) to strengthen Group's long-term competitive positioning, and coordinating Global Business Units in defining their Strategic evolution pathwayPosition Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated Intern to join our Mergers & Acquisitions and Business Development team. The intern will support the evaluation of strategic business opportunities, market and competitive analyses, financial assessments, and transaction execution activities across Bracco's business areas. In addition, the intern will support the shaping of Bracco’s business strategy and execution, by taking part into the Long-term Planning process, and supporting Global Business Units in the roll-out of key strategic initiatives.
This internship offers exposure to strategic decision-making, corporate finance, licensing, acquisitions, and partnerships within the healthcare and life sciences sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting the assessment of external growth opportunities, including acquisitions, licensing, partnerships, and strategic collaborations;
Analysing company financials, business models, and strategic positioning;
Assisting in financial valuation activities, including comparable company analyses, precedent transactions, and discounted cash flow models;
Preparing investment memoranda, presentations, and briefing materials for senior management;
Conducting market research, competitive intelligence, and industry analyses across the pharmaceutical, diagnostic imaging, medical device, and digital health sectors;
Supporting Business Units/ Finance teams in the assessment of Business Cases;
Helping shape Bracco’s Long-Term strategy, coordinating Global Business units along the Strategic Planning annual process;
Working, alongside the Finance department, to assess the Plan robustness and consistency with Corporate strategic pillars;
Ensuring key projects are well executed in terms of timeline and key milestones;
Supporting due diligence activities by coordinating information requests and reviewing commercial, financial, and strategic documentation;
Monitoring industry trends, scientific innovation, and emerging technologies relevant to Bracco's strategic priorities;
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Commercial, Finance and Legal.
Qualifications:
Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related discipline, or currently pursuing a degree in one of these fields;
Strong academic record;
Previous internship experience in consulting, investment banking, corporate finance, venture capital, private equity, strategy, or healthcare is considered a plus;
Solid analytical and quantitative skills;
Basic understanding of corporate finance and valuation methodologies;
Previous experience in PMO activities is highly appreciated;
Familiarity with financial databases and tools (e.g., PitchBook, Capital IQ, Evaluate, IQVIA, Oracle Hyperion, Smartsheet) is considered a plus;
Fluency in English is required; Italian is preferred.

Skills Required
