Corporate Accountant

We’re seeking a Corporate Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the general ledger, performing monthly account reconciliations, analyzing financial data, and preparing journal entries in support of the month-end close process.

What you will be doing:  

• Perform general ledger activities, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting the month-end close process in accordance with deadlines.  

• Prepare and analyze monthly balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations.  

• Prepare and file sales and use tax returns, including applicable U.S. and Canadian (HST/GST/PST) requirements.  

• Support internal and external audit processes by preparing assigned schedules and responding to audit inquiries.  

• Utilize ERP systems (JD Edwards preferred) to process and maintain accurate financial data.  

• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies.  

• Leverage Microsoft Excel and other Office tools to analyze data and support reporting needs.  

• Apply strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve accounting issues. 

What we’re looking for: 

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required.  

• 1–3 years of accounting experience; manufacturing experience strongly preferred.  

• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP required. 

• Working knowledge of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close processes required 

• Experience preparing account analyses for balance sheet and income statement accounts.  

• Knowledge of sales and use tax, including U.S. and Canadian (HST/GST/PST) requirements, preferred.  

• Proficiency with ERP systems required; JD Edwards experience strongly preferred.  

• Experience supporting audits and preparing schedules for internal and external stakeholders.  

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high level of attention to detail. 

• Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to initiate and drive value-added projects to successful completion.
