We are currently searching a Core Team Leader R&D GSS (m/f/d) based in Saalfeld or Munich, Germany.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Core Team Leader to drive complex projects and program management in medical device product development. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives, leading cross-functional teams to achieve project goals, and delivering high-quality results on time and within budget. This role requires a dynamic leader who can navigate challenges, foster collaboration across functions, and implement best practices to enhance project outcomes, supporting Baxter’s commitment to excellence in surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead and inspire cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration among diverse stakeholders to achieve project objectives and enhance team performance.

  • Strategic Alignment: Ensure that all project initiatives align with Baxter’s overarching strategy and business objectives, driving innovation and excellence in surgical procedures.

  • Project Planning and Execution: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive project plans that outline timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and deliverables, ensuring clarity and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Risk Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans to address potential challenges and ensure project continuity.

  • Technical Oversight: Provide expert technical guidance and oversight throughout the project, ensuring compliance with required technical specifications, regulatory standards, and industry best practices.

  • Quality Assurance Compliance: Ensure that all project deliverables comply with Baxter's quality management system and relevant regulatory requirements, maintaining a commitment to patient safety and product excellence.

  • Agile Methodology Support: Champion agile methodologies within the quality management system, empowering teams to adapt and respond to changing project needs while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or business.

  • Experience: Minimum 10 years in medical device product development, including 3 years in a leadership role.

  • Project Delivery: Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

  • Business Acumen: Strong ability to align stakeholders with customer and business needs.

  • Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of medical device development, including design, testing, and validation.

  • Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and project management abilities.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with regulatory and quality management systems, including ISO 13485 and FDA regulations.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Advanced Education: Master’s degree in a relevant field (engineering, science, or business).

  • Agile Methodologies: Experience with Agile project management methodologies to enhance project flexibility and responsiveness.

  • Project Management Certification: Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) to demonstrate formal training and expertise.

  • Process Improvement Certification: Six Sigma certification to ensure a strong foundation in quality management and process optimization.

  • Design for Six Sigma: Knowledge of Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) principles to drive product development excellence and customer satisfaction.

  • Software Development Knowledge: Familiarity with medical device software development and validation processes to support comprehensive project oversight.
