Job Description:

Core Ops Manager, Analytics & Insights leads the development, consolidation, and modernization of performance metrics and reporting across the Core Operations organization. This role is accountable for transforming financial and operational data into clear, actionable insights that support decision making, performance management, and operational excellence. The role also drives reporting modernization by moving away from manual, Excel based processes toward scalable, automated solutions.

Depth & Scope:

  • Provides people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and compensation decisions, promoting teamwork and handling any/all disciplinary actions, as required
  • Leads and manages a sizeable team of Analyst professionals and overall operation of a diverse group in an area of moderate risk, complexity or scope
  • Ensures an integrated approach with other business management areas, broader organization, and enterprise as appropriate
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of businesses/technology, and organizational practices/disciplines
  • Sound to advanced knowledge of external competition, industry and/or market trends in relation to own function/business
  • Focuses on short to medium-term issues (e.g. 6-12 months)
  • Leads the Core Operations analytics and reporting function, with ownership of core performance metrics across the department.
  • Responsible for consolidating complex financial and operational data from multiple systems into clear, actionable insights.
  • Supports enterprise‑wide Core Operations objectives related to performance management, process effectiveness, and automation.
  • Oversees analytics‑related initiatives and reporting enhancement projects across Core Operations
  • Operates in a highly matrixed environment, partnering with Business, Technology, Risk, and Operations teams

Education & Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree or advanced technical degree preferred (e.g., math, physics, engineering, finance or computer science) Graduate's degree preferred with either progressive project work experience, or;
  • 5+ year of relevant experience; higher degree education and research tenure can be counted
  • Experience supporting operations, analytics, performance management, or reporting functions.
  • Experience working in regulated environments with an understanding of operational risk considerations.
  • Demonstrated experience modernizing reporting processes within large, matrixed organizations.
  • Proven leadership and team‑management capabilities.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to simplify complex financial and operational information for non‑technical audiences.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong experience with: Power BI, Power Apps / Power Platform, SQL, and Python
  • Familiarity with data automation, reporting pipelines, and analytics modernization.
  • Working knowledge of AI‑enabled analytics or emerging analytical tools is preferred.

Customer Accountabilities:

  • Manages team of Business Insights & Analytics professionals/specialists
  • Ensures team collaboration with partners on business problems/issues and provides fact-based analytical advice that aligns to strategy and drives shareholder value
  • Manages escalated client issues or priorities and reaches out to appropriate areas to resolve or minimize business problems/issues
  • Applies judgement, discretion and collaborates with internal partners to navigate and resolve ambiguous issues
  • Reviews and/or contributes on the presentation of insights back to executive leaders/business partners to drive strategic improvement; also responsible for contributing to overall direction of team regarding emerging tools/techniques/methods in presenting or visualizing key information
  • Collaborates with business partners to shape and prioritize ad hoc analysis​Delivers accurate, timely, and consistent reporting to support operational and strategic decision‑making.
  • Translates complex data into concise, executive‑ready insights that enable leaders to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Aligns reporting and analytics outputs to business priorities and strategic objectives.
  • Communicates findings and recommendations clearly to support senior‑level decisions.
  • Ensures reporting solutions are reliable, easy to consume, and responsive to stakeholder needs.

  • Leverages data systems and various sources to ensure team is equipped to formulate well defined solutions to solve business problems
  • Ensures team leverages knowledge of data capabilities across the organization to build and deliver on business analytics and insights
  • Oversees the development and ongoing analysis for a business line or functional area employing both internal and external data from various sources
  • Supports execution with excellence on key initiatives/programs
  • Designs effective test and learns for various programs or scenarios
  • Develops business specific plans; ensures work and resources are aligned to support objectives
  • Identifies opportunities for business growth within a specific business or function by identifying potential use cases and value drivers
  • Proactively supports the identification of issues, trends and opportunities, and brings forward recommendations based on judgment and facts
  • Leads team to prepare framework to succinctly take complex data and translate it into clear and concise recommendations
  • Ensures deep understanding and contributes to the achievement of the business strategy, goals, and objectives
  • Protects the interests of the organization – identifies and manages risks, and escalates non-standard, high-risk transactions/activities as necessary
  • Manages oversight process, risk-based identification and monitoring of related risks and regulatory compliance across the supported functions, while ensuring key controls and processes are effectively managed
  • Oversees or leads the facilitation and/or implementation of action/remediation plans to address performance/risk/governance issues
  • Keeps abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assesses potential impacts
  • Maintains a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite
  • Improves operational performance and decision‑making through effective use of financial and operational analytics.
  • Drives reporting modernization to reduce manual effort, improve efficiency, and enable scalable insights.
  • Supports risk management and control objectives by monitoring data quality, controls, and reporting readiness.
  • Enables leadership to make informed decisions that support cost efficiency, productivity, and operational excellence.
  • Promotes disciplined execution through reliable performance measurement and reporting standards.
