About the role
We’re looking for a mid-senior Copywriter to join Uphold’s Content Team and help shape how millions of people experience crypto, digital assets, and modern finance.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role for a confident writer who can think creatively and operate responsibly in a regulated environment. Crypto experience is a plus — but we’re equally open to talented writers from adjacent industries (fintech, finance, SaaS, consumer tech) who can demonstrate strong judgment, curiosity, and the ability to learn quickly.
You’ll be working in a small but busy content team (Director of Content + Senior Copywriter), serving primarily the US market, and collaborating closely with CRM, performance marketing, product marketing, and social. You’ll be expected to adapt quickly to Uphold’s tone of voice and senior leadership preferences, and to work efficiently within established processes and tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence).
Strong ownership and communication are critical in this role. You’ll manage your work proactively — keeping documentation up to date, leaving clear comments, following up where needed, and treating each project with care from first draft through to final handoff.
Crypto marketing comes with strict compliance and language requirements. We’re looking for someone who understands those constraints and knows how to think creatively within them to deliver clear, compelling messaging and strong content ideas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Write and ship copy across core marketing channels
- Produce clear, compliant marketing copy across CRM (email, push, in-app), website, paid media, social, blogs, newsletters, and product launches
- Own long-form content including SEO blog post creation and editing, landing pages and key product narratives
- Write and optimise in-app modules, banners, and UI-adjacent copy that supports activation and usage
CRM & lifecycle marketing
- Write and personalise email, push, and in-app content for defined customer segments, aligned to clear KPIs (activation, engagement, conversion)
- Collaborate closely with CRM and performance teams to test, iterate, and improve messaging copy over time
Messaging, voice & quality
- Quickly adapt to and evolve Uphold’s tone of voice and strategic messaging in partnership with Director of Content and marketing leaders
- Ensure consistency, clarity, and compliance across all customer touchpoints
- Edit, fact-check, and quality-check copy to a high standard, especially for regulated and crypto-specific messaging
Campaigns & collaboration
- Collaborate with senior marketers to develop campaign and communications materials across social, newsletters, FAQs, and product updates
- Work in small, cross-functional “pods” within the marketing team, owning projects end-to-end from initial concept and brief through execution and iteration
- Support video and visual-first content through scripting and messaging frameworks
Creative ideation & ownership
- Proactively generate creative ideas, messaging angles, and campaign concepts grounded in customer insight, performance data, and market context - where possible.
- Take clear accountability for outcomes, timelines, and quality — driving work forward independently and unblocking issues as they arise
What you'll bring
- A strong interest in crypto and modern finance, with a working understanding of the narratives, products, and conversations shaping the space
- Experience writing marketing copy within regulated or complex industries (crypto, fintech, financial services, SaaS), or clear evidence you can adapt quickly
- Confidence writing across the full funnel — from brand and campaign work to direct-response and lifecycle messaging
- Comfort working omni-channel (email, in-app, web, blog, social), with a clear objective behind everything you write
- A performance-aware mindset — you understand how copy supports activation, engagement, and conversion, and you’re comfortable learning from results
- The ability to explain complex ideas simply, clearly, and responsibly
- Experience working in fast-moving, collaborative environments with multiple stakeholders and tight timelines
- Strong communication, organisation, and follow-through — you keep work moving and don’t need chasing
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in copywriting for regulated, technical, or product-led businesses (e.g. fintech, crypto, financial services, SaaS)
- Strong understanding of omni-channel marketing best practices and how messaging adapts across lifecycle, product, and performance contexts
- Excellent attention to detail with consistently high copy quality, including editing and self-review
- Proactive, solution-oriented mindset — comfortable identifying opportunities, proposing ideas, and improving how work gets done
- Reliable project and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and communicate clearly across teams
- Collaborative working style, with the professionalism and judgment required to operate in a small, content team
