Ogilvy Social.Lab (OSL) is a full-service advertising agency headquartered in Brussels’ WPP Campus. As part of the international Ogilvy network, our operations span four continents with over 15 nationalities on the 130-strong team working in our offices – our mindset is borderless.

ROLE
Is writing your thing? Do you juggle with grammar as much as with words? It doesn't take much to be able to say a lot? Then you are exactly the person we are looking for: the copywriter who will join our creative team. Someone who will give their best self for our clients ? Someone who aims high at every creative brief. Not high like the Ardennes, no – high like the Himalayas. Would you like to ? Let's talk about serious things.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create day-to-day content or larger campaigns based on a creative brief.
- Write short texts for various advertisers, media channels (social media, OOH, and TV), and target audiences.
- Manage projects from ideation to final execution, collaborating with specialists like storyboarders and animators.
- Challenge creative briefs and suggest additional ideas that showcase the agency's creative potential.
- Articulate and defend your ideas, tone of voice, and wording choices, as well as your subject matter choices for specific briefs.
- Stay up-to-date on social media trends and formats, and find creative ways to leverage them to engage audiences.
PROFILE
- Proven experience as a copywriter or community manager (with a focus on copywriting) in the creative industry.
- Exceptional fluency in Dutch, with an excellent command of English. Fluency in French is a plus.
- Evidence that you can create a unique tone of voice or mimic that of an existing brand.
- A passion for creativity and training or experience in creative writing.
- A portfolio that proves your ability to respond to a briefing with clear, exciting and passionate ideas.
- A perfect understanding (and an attraction for) the different social networks, their characteristics, advantages and limits.
- Excellent time management and a habit of working under tight deadlines.
- An ability to work in a team, a positive attitude and personality.
- A natural curiosity for what's happening in today's popular and digital culture.
- You're not only aware of what is happening today, butalso of what advertisers will want to tap into tomorrow.
