Job Summary 

SUNPAN is looking for a Copywriter to own the words that sell our furniture. You will write clear, compelling, on-brand product descriptions, category copy, and supporting content that helps customers imagine each piece in their space and make confident purchasing decisions.

Reporting to the Marketing Director, Digital & Communications, this role will be based out of India and is a remote opportunity working alongside the team based in Toronto, Canada.

This role requires regular interaction with the Toronto team, including attendance at scheduled meetings during overlapping business hours, typically in the afternoon/evening IST several times per week.

About The Role: 

• Take ownership of product copy to deliver fresh and captivating content that educates customers about our designs and helps them make better purchasing decisions
• Tell the story of our beautiful designs by writing compelling product and collection descriptions, features and benefits copy while optimizing for SEO
• Produce factual content for website and other channels by collaborating with team members across departments (Product, Claims, Merchandising, E-commerce)
• Translate product specs into benefits-led sensory language that reflects how a piece feels
• Adhere to the brand voice and persuasive copywriting to ensure consistent and tailored content across channels
• Write and maintain meta titles/descriptions and on-page SEO elements for product and category pages
• Assist in performing regular content audits to optimize copy for SEO and keywords; incorporate site analytics to determine top performing/engaging content and provide insight on how to improve low performing content
• Organize and manage content into a user-friendly library for the marketing department
• Work with all members of the marketing department to maintain internal documents, including but not limited to, Standard Operating Procedures, policies and contracts
• Manage deadlines and deliver high-quality output in a fast-paced environment
• Other ad hoc duties as assigned
  

Let's Talk About You: 

• Exceptional written and verbal communication
• 5+ years of experience in copywriting or content marketing
• Post-secondary degree in Business or related, with preference for Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Journalism, or equivalent
• Interest or experience in the furniture and interior design industry an asset
• Practical knowledge of SEO best practices
• Comfort using AI tools for research and drafting workflows
• Editorial discipline and strong attention to detail
• Extremely organized and able to meet tight deadlines
