Position Overview
K18 is seeking a Copywriter to join our Creative team.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Write and concept big ideas for all mediums, including native digital, paid media, retail, distributor channels, marketing, and branded campaigns.
- Execute copy that cuts through the noise, elevates the customer experience, and tells a strong brand story connected to our mission.
- Ability to synthesize complex information and communicate science topics in a modern, fun, and concise way to a beauty-focused or a new-to-science audience.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teammates like designers, marketing leads, and social strategists.
- Strong copyediting and proofreading skills. You have an eagle eye for the tiny details.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Proactive, positive attitude. We encourage our teammates to speak up and put good ideas ahead of egos and hierarchy.
Qualifications
- A strong brand-centered portfolio that proves you can write short and snappy headlines, clear informational copy, and words and phrases that make humans stop in their tracks.
- Excellent concepting skills.
- Killer communication and collaboration skills—you thrive talking things through, working one on one or in larger groups, and are a fierce translator when it comes to delivering a final result from multiple channels of feedback.
- A keen eye for art direction and design and an understanding of how art and copy work together.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- 4-5 years experience writing for an established consumer brand or advertising agency.
Salary Range: up to 100k (in USD $)
This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. The actual base salary will depend on numerous factors such as: experience, knowledge and skills, and if the location of the job changes.
