Job Description
TuneCore is looking for Copyright Support specialist will act as the primary liaison between TuneCore artists and our legal team, focusing on rights assertion, ownership disputes, DMCA claims, and other copyright and intellectual property issues. This role involves managing the daily operations of the Copyright Administration team and collaborating with various departments to ensure the integrity and protection of our clients' copyrights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily copyright operations, efficiently managing client tickets and prioritizing workload.
- Process DMCA, store, and internal claims in accordance with legal standards and company policies.
- Validate legal documents to ensure the legitimacy of releases distributed via TuneCore.
- Collaborate with the legal team to understand claims and take appropriate action.
- Maintain TuneCore's KPIs and SLAs, ensuring consistent, high-quality performance.
- Address client inquiries related to copyright and intellectual property with professionalism and accuracy.
- Work closely with the central Copyright team based in the US.
- Resolve copyright and ownership disputes escalated by the Artist Support team.
- Communicate with digital music services to facilitate takedown requests related to copyright claims.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree.
- 1+ years of experience with Indian and International Copyright/DMCA and legal matters.
- Experience with Zendesk or similar customer service software.
- Trust & safety/operations management experience is preferred.
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
- Team player with excellent multitasking, time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Google Suite.
