THE ROLE: Coordinator, Digital Operations & Anti-Piracy

The Coordinator, Digital Operations & Anti-Piracy will play a key role in safeguarding A+E’s content across digital platforms, maintaining anti-piracy and rights management workflows, and supporting the secure distribution of programming on both owned-and-operated and third-party platforms.

Act as a first line of defense in safeguarding A+E intellectual property by maintaining daily Content ID and anti-piracy workflows across YouTube and other digital platforms
Monitor, review, and enforce digital rights with precision to prevent monetization loss, contractual breaches, and legal exposure
Support trafficking and validation of short-form and long-form content reference files across digital platforms, ensuring metadata, rights, and asset details are fully accurate prior to release
Partner with Legal, Rights, and the Digital Operations team to resolve rights-related issues quickly and prevent compliance risks
Manage and review social partner and vendor monthly compliance checks, confirming that all posted content aligns with rights obligations and that authorized accounts are properly whitelisted
Maintain and audit secure access to A+E’s social platform accounts, restricting permissions to authorized users only and conducting regular reviews in collaboration with A+E Cybersecurity to uphold best practices
Conduct regular audits of reference files and lead cleanup efforts across anti-piracy initiatives to ensure accuracy, consistency, and comprehensive content protection records
Contribute to additional Digital Operations projects as assigned by manager, bringing the same level of attention to detail and compliance focus
WHAT YOU’LL LEARN:
On our team, you’ll gain specialized experience in protecting A+E’s intellectual property and ensuring legal compliance across digital platforms. You’ll develop hands-on expertise in Content ID, rights management systems, and anti-piracy workflows that safeguard millions of dollars in programming value. You’ll learn how to spot risks before they become legal or financial liabilities and how to partner effectively with Legal, Rights, Cybersecurity, and Social Media teams. Along the way, you’ll deepen your understanding of how metadata accuracy, rights validation, and platform compliance form the foundation of A+E’s digital business.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
1–3 years of media experience, ideally with exposure to rights management, legal, or compliance workflows
Strong attention to detail with the discipline to ensure accuracy in all deliverables
Understands that there are financial and legal implications of errors in rights and anti-piracy work and approaches tasks with care and accountability
Proactive in asking questions, escalating concerns, and seeking clarity to ensure issues are resolved before they create risk
Highly organized and process-driven, with the ability to manage sensitive workflows under tight deadlines
Effective communicator who can collaborate across Legal, Rights, Digital, and Cybersecurity while working closely with their manager on Digital Operations priorities
Familiarity with social media CMSs (YouTube, Facebook, TikTok) and an eagerness to deepen knowledge of platform rights tools and compliance requirements
Basic Excel and/or Airtable proficiency, with the initiative to expand expertise to strengthen operational accuracy
