Coordinator, Cherry Lane Theatre

Cherry Lane Theatre is seeking a Coordinator to support the leadership team in the management of the theater and ongoing programming. This person will be a motivated self-starter who is passionate about live entertainment and skilled in multitasking, communication, and time management.  

Key Responsibilities:  

• Provide administrative support for the senior management team as needed: schedule calls, meetings, and manage calendars. 
• Maintain and organize internal databases to track script submissions, pitches, talent availabilities, and BLA status
• Coordinate travel: book flights, trains, and hotels for senior management. Manage and submit expense reports.
• Support the Head of Programming in scouting new comedy, music, theater, and live events
• Provide constructive feedback on all forms of development materials including pitches, scripts, readings, and rehearsals 
• Participate in creative feedback discussions with program leads, producers, and point executives
• Research and compile lists of tastemakers in theater, music, comedy, talk backs, and screenings 
• Track previews and reviews of shows throughout the industry
• Distribute agendas and take notes for weekly meetings

Qualifications 

• 1-2 years experience functioning in a fast-paced business environment, preferably within the entertainment or creative industries
• Knowledge of the landscape of talent, writers, producers, general managers, artistic directors, and executives in the live entertainment space 
• Strong point of view on material, writers, producers, talent, and content 
• Experience in crafting or fielding pitches at a production company, studio, or network
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship management skills
• Organized, humble, diligent, resourceful

Our target salary hourly for this role is between $21 to $24 per hour. We do not use formal job titles internally and similarly named positions may have different compensation levels. Actual starting salary within the range will depend on various considerations, including: work experience, skills, specializations, and training. This role is also eligible for an annual performance bonus, including both cash and equity components, competitive healthcare, as well as other employee benefits.
