Better Living Health and Community Services is searching for a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our team as Coordinator, Active Living Programs. This position coordinates the day-to-day operations of the Senior Active Living Centres, including the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs, while monitoring program delivery and assessing the needs and well-being of members throughout the day.
The successful candidate for this position must have the following qualifications:
- Successful completion of a recognized Diploma program in Health and Wellness, Gerontology, Social Services, or a related filed.
- A minimum of 1 years or more years of working experience working with older adults
- Strong working knowledge of database uses, MS Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
- Effective Communication Skills
- Successful completion of Vulnerable Sector Screening within one month of employment
The successful candidate(s) for this position must be able to:
- Plan, implement, evaluate, and promote Active Living Programs to meet members’ needs
- Monitor and evaluate activities ongoing basis
- Coordinate day-to-day activities to achieve the plan
- Organize and plan in the preparation and proofing of seasonal program guides
- Prepare weekly membership e-blast
- Manage membership database to keep accurate records
- Provide on-going support to Members and Clients as needed
- Work closely with Volunteer Services team to recruit, train, and supervise volunteers
- Conduct ongoing evaluations, performance reviews, and monthly hours’ report for volunteers
- Maintain effective communication to work as a team with various departments internally and community organization externally
- Ensure proper financial management practices for the daily operation of the Active Living Centres
- Complete administrative duties including the production of reports, correspondence, and attendance records
- Travel between two Active Living Centres located at 1 Overland Dr. and 5 Deauville Ln. as required
- Work evening and weekend shifts as required
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Contract End Date: March 31, 2027
SALARY: $42,816 - $46,384 per year
