As Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) programmer, you will be responsible for:
- Creating inspection programs for coordinate measuring machines, devices that measures objects' physical characteristics such as dimensions and other geometrical qualities.
- Ensuring the machine is correctly working through programming scripts and tests.
- Documenting inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.
- Keeping measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions calling for repairs.
- Following through on any tasks, assignments, or projects that management assigns.
- Quality Control Inspector duties as assigned on a needed basis.
- CMM Programming support as needed for larger CWI support base.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will have:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 8+ years of experience in machining and/or quality dimensional inspection.
- Programming experience in PC-DMIS/ ZEISS CALYPSO software.
- Use of basic measuring equipment
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, MTR’s (material test reports) and supplier certification.
- MS Excel and MS Word
