The Role
We are seeking a COO/CFO, to be a core member of the executive team responsible for the day-to-day execution of the business. You will lead and integrate key internal functions including People & HRFinance and Operations. You will be responsible for overseeing the company’s financial health and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, a collaborative mindset, and a deep understanding of finance and accounting. This role is in-office 4–5 days per week and best suited to a hands-on leader who thrives in high-growth, fast-moving environments with a balance of strategic oversight and tactical execution.

Role Responsibilities

  • Own and manage all aspects of the Finance and Corporate functions
  • Evaluate and advise on the financial impact of strategic plans, business development plans, and actions taken
  • Provide periodic reporting and narrative to internal stakeholders and quarterly or reporting to external stakeholders
  • Build and evolve the systems and processes needed for scale
  • Oversee legal, regulatory, and risk management frameworks
  • Partner with CSO on forecasting, financial planning, and operational reporting
  • Ensure financial operations — including budgeting, spend management, and vendor oversight — support company goals
  • Build company-wide dashboards and reporting tools to support performance tracking and decision-making
  • Oversee the People function (HR, recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and culture)
  • Drive org design and workforce planning to ensure structure aligns with strategy
  • Foster a high-performance, values-aligned culture as the company scales
  • Serve as a key leader in embedding diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives
  • Work with the business team to translate long-term goals into operational plans with measurable KPIs and milestones
  • Partner with the CEO to drive quarterly OKR and company planning processes
  • Coordinate cross-functional alignment between Product and Commercial functions

Preferred Qualifications

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in operations, strategy, finance, or general management
  • Proven success in a senior leadership role at a high-growth startup (Series A–C)
  • Strong financial fluency and analytical mindset
  • Strong understanding of consumer tech, fintech, or insurance/regulated industries
  • Track record of scaling operational functions, leading change, and building infrastructure from the ground up
  • Highly organized with exceptional communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
  • Collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence across functions
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and mission-driven environment
  • CPA qualification
  • Background in embedded finance, insurtech, wellness, or data-driven consumer engagement
  • Prior experience managing HR, Finance, and Operations simultaneously
  • Experience with BI tools, e-commerce platforms and Sage Intacct
