The Role
Manage capital equipment processes from raw material to finished goods. Develop and establish process controls and parameters to meet safety, quality, cycle, scrap, and labor standards. Train personnel, document controls, participate in PFMEA, and lead continuous improvement and scrap reduction. Provide hands-on technical support with Maintenance and Quality, program and debug PLCs, HMIs, Fanuc robots, servos, VFDs, and Keyence vision/safety systems.

General Description:

  • Manages all aspects of the capital equipment process from raw material to finished good.
  • Participate/lead development of process that meets safety, quality, cycle, scrap, and labor standards.
  • Establish controls and parameters for maintaining and monitoring the process.
  • Train personnel on how to maintain the process and identify any critical issues that may need special attention.
  • Document all process controls.
  • Participate in PFMEA activities.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement activities and scrap reduction.

Position Specific Requirements (PSR):

  • Proficiency in Allen Bradley PLC programming (RSLogix 5000, Studio 5000)
  • Proficiency in HMI development (Factorytalk)
  • Strong Understanding of Industrial communications protocols (mostly Ethernet/IP)
  • Read and Interpret Electrical schematics
  • Experience with servos and VFDs
  • Fanuc robot programming (2+ years)
  • Collaborate with Maintenance and Quality on project work
  • Safety Equipment (Keyence)
  • Vision Systems (Keyence Cameras and Scanners)
  • Technical support, hands on with Maintenance team
  • Proficiency in debugging controls systems

Education:

  • AA required
  • BS/BA preferred

Experience:

  • Requires 1-3 years

Skills Required
