Summary
As an Controls Engineer, you will be a key player in driving the automation processes within our organization. With core skills in mechanical knowledge, manufacturing, and programmable logic controllers, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing automated systems. Your premium skills in Fanuc, robotics, and lean manufacturing will be instrumental in enhancing efficiency and productivity. Leveraging your relevant skills in blueprint reading, root cause analysis, and AutoCAD, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of our automation solutions. With a focus on analysis, robot programming, and a background in automotive engineering, you will lead the way in advancing our automation capabilities.
Responsibilities:
· Develop and review prototype design, perform tests and finalize product/process design to facilitate mass production
· Analyze new components, materials and technologies to determine functionality for all new product development
· Design new concepts for manufacturing processes and maintain technical compatibility with existing processes and methods
· Prepare fixture and gage designs for tool room or tool suppliers
· Prepare technical plant and equipment layouts for project managers
Requirements:
· At least 10 years of Controls Engineering Experience
· 10 years of PLC Programming Experience
· Solid understanding of robotics software and programming skills required
· Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
· CAD or AutoCad capabilities
· Self-motivated, detail oriented individual with the ability to work independently or in a team environment
· Exhibits professionalism in project execution and dealing with coworkers and customers
· Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical or automation engineering preferred
· Automotive industry experience preferred
