As a Controller, you’ll lead the accounting team, collaborate with leaders across the company, and drive innovation by automating and modernizing our processes. Your expertise in accounting, modern tools, and organizational change will be crucial for aligning cross-functional teams as you introduce new tools, systems, and workflows that support data-driven decisions and operational excellence.
What You’ll Do
- Own financial and accounting reporting, ensuring proper control framework and financial data integrity across all CTC entities
- Develop and implement accounting processes and procedures that improve the timeliness, efficiency, and reliability of financial data and controls
- Manage the monthly close process and oversee general ledger activity, detailed account reconciliations and GL variance analysis to ensure the accuracy of monthly consolidations and reporting
- Research and implement technical accounting pronouncements and investigate accounting issues and transactional anomalies
- Develop and maintain the team’s accounting policies and procedures and engage with senior level management on accounting matters
- Be a people leader, responsible for the coaching and development of a group of accounting professionals
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence
Requirements
- At least 3+ years of experience managing people in accounting.
- Experience owning daily/monthly close process and other key accounting functions.
- Deep knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Demonstrated track record of driving continuous process and system improvements, with a focus on increasing automation and efficiency.
- Strong operational excellence mindset with exceptional interpersonal and change management skills to successfully lead and implement organizational change.
- Experience working with software to generate reporting for general ledger, procurement, and expense.
Preferred
- Experience in the trading industry
- Basic SQL/Python experience
- CPA certification/license
- Series 27
- Experience with an ERP selection and implementation
Compensation
The salary range for this role is listed below. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. The discretionary bonus will be dependent upon the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, and firm performance.
Most teams at CTC, with the exception of Trading, follow a hybrid workplace model, subject to change based on business need.
