Summary:
Atomica is seeking an experienced Controller (title and compensation may be adjusted to Assistant Controller based on experience) to lead our accounting and financial operations in a dynamic MEMS startup environment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives on structure and continuous improvement, with deep technical accounting knowledge and proven success managing audits, taxes, and compliance in high-growth companies.
Objectives
- Manage all accounting processes, including month-end close, general ledger maintenance, and preparation of financial statements.
- Own the integrity of financial statements in compliance with US GAAP.
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and monthly/quarterly financial reporting processes.
- Manage audits, tax filings, and compliance activities in coordination with external partners
- Oversee accounting staff, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Payroll functions.
Capabilities
- Progressive accounting and finance experience, ideally with VC- or PE-backed companies.
- Deep knowledge of US GAAP and experience owning the close cycle, audits, and tax compliance.
- Demonstrated success owning month/quarter/year-end close, audit preparation, and tax compliance.
- Experience developing and leading internal controls, policy documentation, and finance process improvements.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and accounting platforms like NetSuite.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).
- CPA certification (strongly preferred).
- Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted asylum/refugee status).

Compensation:
$110,000-$135,000
