What you'll do:
- Develop and implement financial reporting and management policies to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Manage payroll processing, including commissions and bonuses in ADP Workforce Now.
- Oversee billing processes, invoicing customers, and ensuring timely collection of payments.
- Handle vendor and supplier invoices, process payments, and manage expense tracking.
- Manage client invoicing, support renewals and upgrades/downgrades, and handle billing inquiries.
- Address settlement-related queries from customers and manage chargeback disputes.
- Ensure accurate and timely accounting entries and perform regular account reconciliations.
- Prepare and file necessary tax documents, including income tax and sales tax.
- Advise on tax-efficient strategies and ensure adherence to local, state, and federal tax laws.
- Prepare financial statements and assist in developing annual budgets and forecasts.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to develop long-term financial strategies.
- Implement and manage financial software systems, establish financial policies, and collaborate with external auditors for audit readiness.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a proven track record in a controller or similar function.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace, and relevant financial and payroll software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to translate financial concepts to different audiences.
- Resourceful self-starter with an orientation for solving problems and thinking strategically.
- Strong organization skills, with high attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, scaling start-up environment.
- Ability to work in-office regularly and operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
