The Role: Controller

Location: Remote or Irving, TX 

What You’ll Do:

  • Strategize, direct, and synchronize all accounting operations (including payroll) for the Company.
  • Manage a team of 3-5 accountants with various levels of responsibility (AP, Revenue, AR, Payroll, GL)
  • Prepare and deliver timely monthly consolidated financial statements adhering to GAAP and Non-GAAP standards to optimize operational performance.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor the accounting close process, including review of monthly results and preparation of monthly reconciliations
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to establish and enforce finance and accounting policies across the business
  • Be a partner with the people team on all payroll-related activities
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures to support fiscal discipline and operational efficiency.
  • Effectively manage various tax filings, encompassing sales and use, as well as property taxes across the US.
  • Supervise regulatory reporting and uphold tax compliance, collaborating closely with external tax preparers.
  • Oversee accounts payable operations to meet organizational objectives and uphold compliance standards.
  • Maintain the general ledger reporting structure to meet internal and external reporting requisites.
  • Manage asset management and fixed asset records
  • Liaise with external auditors, providing support in audit preparations and furnishing requisite information.
  • Manage corporate insurance policies, including partnering with our growth team and corresponding contracts

What Excites Us:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Public accounting experience required
  • A minimum of 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a robust background as a Financial Controller.
  • Previous Healthcare experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Intacct is a plus.
  • Current Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in good standing or CPA candidacy.
  • Experience in reviewing, editing, and executing legal documents and contracts.
  • Preference for candidates with healthcare and/or audit experience.

  • A competitive compensation package, including a hiring base pay range of $170,000 - $200,000
