Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee the financial operations of our behavioral health residential and clinical program. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial strategy, including accounting practices, budgeting, financial planning, and analysis, as well as monitoring financial performance. This role is critical in ensuring our organization’s financial health and compliance with all necessary regulations.

Responsibilities:

· Lead the development, implementation, and management of financial systems and controls that align with the organization’s goals.

· Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports, ensuring they comply with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.

· Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.

· Oversee the payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

· Collaborate with senior management to optimize financial strategies and improve operational efficiencies.

· Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing the impact of variances.

· Manage cash flow and funding strategies.

· Coordinate and lead the annual audit process with external auditors.

· Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

· Provide leadership and support to accounting and finance staff, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and professional growth.


Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or advanced degree preferred.

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management and accounting, ideally in a healthcare or nonprofit setting.

· Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.

· Proven experience in financial planning, risk management, and data analysis.

· Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on transparency and ethics.

· Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

· Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of specialized healthcare financial systems is a plus.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of the organization and external partners.
