Controller - Healthcare
Location: Houston, TX
Are you a proven financial leader ready to oversee accounting operations for a growing healthcare organization? We’re looking for a talented and collaborative Corporate Controller to join our Finance Team at Memorial MRI & Diagnostic (MMRI) and report directly to the Chief Financial Officer. In this role, you’ll provide strategic oversight of all accounting functions, ensure strong financial controls, and help drive continued growth across our expanding network.

What You’ll Do
- Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, cost reporting, financial analysis, fixed assets, and cash management
- Lead the monthly close process
- Maintain financial controls, policies, and procedures
- Manage audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting, including coordination with external auditors and tax preparers
- Supervise Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and cash management functions
- Partner with the CFO and FP&A to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, technology enhancements, and revenue cycle optimization
- Analyze reserves, variances, and performance trends
- Lead, mentor, and develop finance staff
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required); CPA required
- Background in a multi-site or multi-state healthcare organization within a fast-paced growth environment - Strongly Preferred
- Extensive accounting experience with a strong foundation in public accounting and GAAP reporting
- Experience in audit, month-end close, financial reporting, board packages, and lease accounting
- Hands-on leadership approach with the ability to collaborate closely with clinical and operational teams
- Demonstrated experience managing and developing staff
- Proactive, self-motivated mindset with strong initiative and problem-solving skills
- High degree of confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive information

Skills Required
