Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day accounting operations of the store to ensure that all transactions are recorded in compliance with dealership accounting processes and policies
- Manage and safeguard the stores assets and ensure that internal controls are in place
- Develop and maintain an effective cash management system
- Close the books accurately each month
- Prepare and submit required statements and reports
- Respond to request for information and assistance in a timely manner
- Assist department managers in reading and interpreting their financial reports and in creating action plans needed to improve their operation
- Work with General Manager to improve revenue or reduce expense in order to meet or exceed budget and grow the business
- Work with staff to ensure that corporate initiatives are attained
- Prepare complete financial statements and submit to the manufacture and management in accordance with established timeframes
- Interpret and analyze financial statements
Qualifications
Job Qualifications:
- Must have at least 3-5 years dealership experience in multiple areas of the accounting office including accounts receivable, accounts payable, deal posting, inventory, floorplan, finance reserve and deal posting
- At least 2 years supervisory experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with a strong understanding of Excel and Outlook
- Reynolds and Reynolds experience preferred but not required
- Utilizes exceptional multi-tasking and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and emphasis on quality
- Proven time management and follow-through skills with the ability to work on multiple tasks with tight deadlines
- Displays superior written and oral communication skills and employs effective listening skills
- Displays tactful, mature and professional demeanor with well-developed interpersonal skills
- Available to work some later evenings at month-end close
- Possess a high level of dependability, maturity, confidentiality, and courtesy
- Uses problem solving skills and past experience to overcome workplace challenges, develop new processes, and define outcomes
Skills Required
