As a Control Manager in Wholesale Lending Services and Credit Product Delivery, Product Controls, you will ensure the safe and controlled development of technology and product solutions. You will risk assess emerging automation solutions, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, and large language models, before release into production. You will support top-down risk analysis, issue detection, escalation, root cause analysis, and remediation of risks and incidents arising from digital product and technology change.
Job Responsibilities:
- Govern the change risk assessment process for new products, automation, regulatory updates, emerging technologies, process changes, and migrations
- Deliver risk and control coverage for wholesale lending technology and product initiatives
- Conduct risk and control process reviews and deep dives to evaluate control design and operating effectiveness
- Lead mitigation planning and execution for identified risks, issues, and control gaps
- Advise product and technology teams on risk and control considerations for change delivery
- Track key control metrics and maintain supporting evidence for control execution and testing
- Administer the system of record for risk and control assessments, issues, and remediation activities
- Coordinate with information security managers, product owners, and risk partners to evaluate technology changes and outcomes
- Implement an approved change management framework and ensure consistent application across product teams
- Report risk themes, material issues, and status updates for regular governance and review forums
Monitor internal and external changes impacting the business and drive appropriate actions within ongoing control efforts
Required qualifications, skills, and capabilities:
- Hold a degree in engineering or finance, or a master’s degree in business administration, with product management experience
- Demonstrate 5+ years of experience in financial services with exposure to controls, audit, quality assurance, operational risk management, compliance, technology risk, product management, or information security
- Apply analytical and critical thinking to evaluate operational strengths, vulnerabilities, and emerging risks
- Influence stakeholders and build partnerships across control, product, technology, and operations teams
- Prepare clear communications and materials for senior management discussions and decision-making
- Use process improvement methods, including Six Sigma concepts, to support control enhancements and remediation
Operate Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint effectively to produce evidence, metrics, and reporting
