Responsibilities
- Define control and automation requirements for systems in development.
- Select and configure suitable controllers (PLCs, sensors, electronic components, etc.).
- Program PLCs using ladder diagrams and other coding languages as needed.
- Integrate control systems with sensors, actuators, and other system components.
- Design and connect relevant electronic systems.
- Write and maintain complete system command documentation and engineering specifications.
- Collaborate with development, electrical, mechanical, and integration teams.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Control & Automation Engineering, or a related field. Graduates of recognized engineering technician programs (practical engineers) will also be considered.
- Hands-on experience in selecting controllers, PLC programming, and control system development – mandatory.
- Proficiency in PLC programming using ladder diagrams and additional languages (e.g., Structured Text, Function Block).
- Knowledge and experience in selecting industrial sensors and electronic components.
- Experience in writing and maintaining system specifications and command documentation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, strong system-level thinking, and multitasking abilities.
