As a Field Specialist – Control & Instrumentation, you will lead the technical execution of onsite installation, maintenance, testing, and startup activities for Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, Centrifugal Compressors, and Generators.
You will ensure safe and high-quality operations in accordance with engineering best practices and contractual requirements—primarily across Latin America.
- Having excellent Functional / Technical, Customer Focus, Communication, Interpersonal, and Team Working Skills, and being mainly specialized in Instrumentation and Control Panels.
- Being able to perform autonomously some of the Installation and/or Maintenance activities of IET Rotating Equipment in the Field at Customer Sites.
- Being responsible for performing minor and major maintenance of equipment following the IET Service Site Quality Check Lists and procedures, and being the primary contact to work with the Customer Representative and Site Team to coordinate activities at the Customer Job Site.
- Providing records of all activities accomplished at Customer Site to the Baker Hughes IET Supervisor and promoting and maintaining good team relations.
- Executing all required responsibilities safely by following all IET Service applicable processes and procedures.
- Performing other related duties as required according to the specified scope of work.
- Being able to provide limited troubleshooting on the equipment under maintenance and/or installation in the Field.
- Conducting all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes Core Values (HSE, Quality, and Compliance).
Qualifications & Skills Required
Bachelor Degree preferred. Industry experience and IET product line training required.
Have 4-6 years of industry experience and IET product line training required.
Demonstrate Functional / Technical, Customer Focus, Communication, Interpersonal, and Team working Skills.
Be mainly specialized in Instrumentation and Control Panels.
Have knowledge in any of control systems such as: MarkVIe, Woodward/Micronet, Opticom
Have knowledge in any of products such as Aero LM2500 and LM6000 and Heavy Duty Gas Turbines, Centrifugal Compressors
Knowledge in mapping *DLE* / tunning *DLN* for Turbine is a plus.
Have Intermediate/advance English level.
Utilization around 85%. Able to travel locally and internationally.
Able to work offshore.
T BOSIET/THUET certificates are a plus.
