Our Mission

Reflection is a research lab making intelligence open and accessible for everyone to use, customize, and build on. We build open models that let anyone control their intelligence and help shape the future of AI. Our mission: make intelligence open and accessible to all.

The Role

As Contracts Manager, you will play a key role in building and scaling Reflection’s commercial contracting operations. You will own the day-to-day management of our contracting process, from initial intake through execution, working closely with Legal and cross-functional business teams to keep agreements moving efficiently.

This is a high-impact role for an experienced contracts professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, exercises sound judgment, and takes ownership of processes. You will help build the systems, workflows, and playbooks that enable Reflection’s legal team to scale alongside the business, while freeing attorneys to focus on complex negotiations and strategic legal matters.

What You’ll Do
  • Own the end-to-end contract management process, including intake, triage, tracking, internal approvals, signature coordination, and recordkeeping.

  • Conduct first-pass review and negotiation of routine agreements, particularly NDAs, using established templates, playbooks, and escalation guidelines.

  • Support commercial contracting across a range of agreements, including vendor and procurement agreements, SaaS and technology agreements, data licensing agreements, and other commercial contracts.

  • Serve as a central point of coordination between Legal and business stakeholders, proactively managing follow-ups, outstanding issues, and execution timelines.

  • Coordinate cross-functional reviews with Security, Privacy, Compliance, Finance, and other teams, ensuring appropriate approvals are obtained.

  • Manage contract documentation, version control, signature workflows, and executed agreement storage.

  • Identify nonstandard contractual terms and escalate substantive legal or business issues to the appropriate stakeholders.

  • Develop and improve contracting workflows, templates, playbooks, and standard operating procedures to streamline operations and reduce turnaround times.

  • Maintain contract trackers and reporting on volume, status, turnaround times, and bottlenecks.

  • Identify opportunities to automate and scale contracting processes as the company grows.

What We’re Looking For
  • At least 5+ years of experience in contracts management, commercial legal operations, or a related role.

  • Prior experience working directly with an in-house legal team, supporting attorneys and business stakeholders through commercial contracting processes.

  • Demonstrated experience independently managing commercial agreements from intake through execution.

  • Familiarity with commercial contracts, including NDAs, vendor agreements, SaaS agreements, and other technology-related agreements.

  • Strong understanding of contract lifecycle management, internal approval processes, and signature workflows.

  • Familiarity with AI-powered tools and workflows, including the ability to use AI agents and automation to streamline contracting processes, improve efficiency, and scale legal operations.

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage a high volume of requests and competing priorities.

  • Sound judgment — you know what you can handle independently, when to push a process forward, and when to escalate to Legal.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across legal, technical, and business teams.

  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating with significant autonomy in a fast-moving environment.

What We Offer:

We believe that to make intelligence open and accessible to all, you need to start at the foundation. Joining Reflection means building from the ground up as part of a talent-dense team. You will help define our future as a company, and help define the future of open foundational models.

We want you to do the most impactful work of your career with the confidence that you and the people you care about most are supported.

  • Top-tier compensation: Salary and equity structured to recognize and retain our talent globally.

  • Team building: We have regular off-sites, happy hours, and team celebrations.

What We Do

Reflection was founded by former DeepMind and OpenAI researchers to build superintelligent coding agents. We previously built the most powerful LLM (ChatGPT, Gemini) and agent (AlphaGo, AlphaZero) systems in the world. Reflection’s mission is to build superhuman coding agents. Today’s language models are powerful, but they fall short when it comes to tasks that require acting over many steps. The reason is simple. These models were never trained for autonomy. Our goal is to create the most capable and reliable coding agents in the world. Our product is a Coding Agent API that helps automate rote engineering work.
