Design and document cloud integration patterns and PoCs, define standards, build reusable assets and code samples for AWS, implement serverless and CI/CD pipelines, work with EDA (Kinesis/MSK) and API governance (AWS API Gateway/Azure API Management), coach community, and propose AWS improvements.

We are urgently looking for a Cloud Engineer with experience in AWS, API, and a background in development and architecture for a client in Brussels, Belgium. This role can be performed remotely from Belgium.
Candidates need to be fluent in English. A work permit is required. This position is open for freelancers, who would like to commit long-term. European candidates need to relocate to Belgium.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Translate cloud integration patterns into technical design (documentation + PoC);
- Structure & define and document standards & guidelines;
- Provide reusable assets based on the technical design;
- Write code samples/libraries facilitating interaction with AWS services;
- Participate in community animation: coaching, presentations;
- Follow-up AWS services evolution and proposes improvements in the AXA context;
Profile:
- Bachelor or Master degree;
- Strong experience in Cloud (about 5 years) - focus on AWS first;
- Knowledge of Enterprise Integration: AWS Integration services, API Management, ESB and EDA capabilities;
- Broad knowledge of Cloud patterns and services, more specifically:
- AWS - FaaS: guidelines on how to develop new applications in serverless;
- AWS - IT automation: experience setting up enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines (CodeBuild, CodePipeline);
- EDA: AWS (Kinesis, MSK);
- API governance with AWS API-GTW and Azure API management;
- Development (Java - Python - Cloudformation) and Architecture background;
- Fluent in English;
